Vice President, Finance Business Partner (Support Units), Group Finance

About the role

DBS Group Finance aims to deliver world-class standards in reporting, financial planning and finance processes, providing insights and analyses that help the bank make sound business decisions on product development and customer profitability, as well as capital management, business planning, forecasting and tax and accounting advisory. As Vice President, Finance Business Partner (Support Units), you will partner closely with business to drive day-to-day operational and financial responsibilities, including performance management, financial processes and MIS delivery, governance, risks and controls, working with unit heads, leads and their planning teams.

Key responsibilities

• Performance management and business partnering: work with business on financial analysis and MIS, deepen data insights on cost and expense drivers, improve clarity and transparency in financial reporting, partner across the region for consistency, support business strategy and forecast
• Forecasting and budgeting: drive the annual planning process
• Business cases and contract management: refine business cases including investment and benefit quantification, monitor initiative financials, review contract proposals for business needs, governance and approvals, and handle cross-border billing and cost allocations
• Identify process automation opportunities to improve team efficiency

Required profile

• More than 12 years of experience, preferably in banking and finance
• Ability to operate independently while collaborating with senior colleagues to drive outcomes
• Strong interest in emerging technologies, particularly artificial intelligence and data-driven solutions
• Curious, self-motivated and keen to improve processes through data and AI

Required skills

• Experience with business and financial planning, forecasting and budgeting, and accounting
• Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills
• Experience with finance databases such as Oracle Essbase is a plus
• Effective communication of technical concepts
