Vice President, Investment Counselor (Onshore Market)

About the role

Citi is hiring an Investment Counselor (IC) Vice President for the onshore Singapore market. The IC acts as a strategic authority on investment products and market trends, communicating market views internally and to clients, and formulating investment proposals tailored to client needs. The role works closely with Client Advisors and supports Relationship Managers serving onshore clients.

Key responsibilities

• Manage investment relationships and deliver the Chief Investment Officer's views to wealth clients, acting as a primary client contact and trusted advisor.
• Provide direct sales advisory, determine suitability, identify product-specific opportunities, give portfolio advice and handle after-sales execution.
• Grow existing clients' share of wallet and win more high-net-worth prospects through quality, individualized solutions.
• Lead and share investment opportunities, create customized proposals for high-net-worth clients and accompany advisors in client meetings.
• Combine knowledge of traditional and alternative investments with wealth solutions and banking services to optimize service and cross-selling.
• Leverage specialists and wholesalers for subject-matter expertise and present or co-present at client events.
• Provide high-quality communication and customer service to sales professionals and their clients.
• Be accountable for product revenue and penetration goals; assess risk appropriately and uphold compliance, ethics and the firm's reputation.

Required profile

• 10-15 years of experience in investment product sales.
• Broad understanding of financial services, product solutions and financial planning strategies.
• Bachelor's degree; Master's degree preferred.
• Specific licensing may be required.
