Virtual Production Camera Technician – Studio Technical Support

About the role

AP Media is seeking a proactive Virtual Production Camera Technician to join its Studio Technical Support crew in Singapore. The role combines hands‑on camera operation, AV infrastructure management and real‑time virtual production support to ensure seamless delivery of immersive digital experiences.

Key responsibilities

• Set up, configure and maintain studio and virtual production equipment, including cameras, LED/VP processing units, tracking systems, video routers and AV infrastructure.
• Perform preventive maintenance, firmware and software updates, and ensure compatibility with real‑time production workflows.
• Troubleshoot camera, imaging and video‑signal issues, produce technical reports and coordinate with manufacturers to minimise downtime.
• Read, interpret and design camera and signal‑flow diagrams, managing video routing, genlock, timecode and data lines.
• Support virtual production systems – tracking objects, markers, cabling, power management and full AV signal flow across the LED volume.
• Assist camera crew with lens, spatial and tracking hardware calibration, and resolve tracking stability problems during shoots.
• Communicate configuration changes and system status to the Virtual Production team to ensure smooth transitions.
