VP / AVP, Team Head - Financial Planning Advisory, Consumer Banking

About the role

DBS Consumer Banking Group, the leading bank in Asia, is looking for a VP / AVP, Team Head for its Financial Planning Advisory within the Consumer Banking Group. The role leads a team of wealth planning managers who drive customer engagement activities focused on holistic financial planning.

Key responsibilities

• Hire, skill and coach a team of wealth planning managers to drive customer engagement activities focused on holistic financial planning.
• Ensure a needs-based approach, compliance with the FA Act, adherence to Fair Dealing, and compliance with internal and external regulatory requirements and policies.
• Act as the single point of accountability for the team and be responsible for overall business performance, business quality and customer satisfaction.
• Ensure effective use of resources and build a high-performance culture through motivation, training and development of team members.

Required profile

• A good degree with at least 5 years' experience in the financial services industry, preferably with a track record in financial advisory business management.
• Strong leadership, interpersonal and people-management skills, able to relate to and manage staff at all levels, with relevant experience developing high-performing relationship managers.
• Preferably holds CMFAS Mod 5, 8, 9, CHI, AFP, AFC, CLU, ChFC or CFP qualifications.

Required skills

• Sound understanding of financial planning and wealth management products, as well as banking operations.
• Good knowledge of financial costing, including P&L management, and of business marketing strategies and techniques.
