VP, Business Management (Risk & Control) - International Centre Operations

About the role

This position provides comprehensive governance, management and robust risk control oversight for the regionalization and standardization of the IBGO strategy across the 8 International Centres' Operations teams. It ensures compliance with risk standards, manages third-party risk governance and engages regularly with international centres to address operational challenges. The role is based in DBS Asia Central.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with International Centres Ops and Regional Operations teams to standardize processes and system solutions.
• Keep International Centres Ops teams informed about Head Office initiatives, understand location challenges and work with stakeholders to remove roadblocks.
• Drive and guide locations on operational risk management so they comply with risk standards.
• Review operations metrics, Key Risk Indicators (KRI) and management reports from locations, exercise sound judgment and escalate issues appropriately.
• Coordinate regional projects affecting International Centres with the Regional Ops team so they are delivered on schedule.

Required profile

• Degree holder with at least 8 years of experience in a banking operations risk and control role.
• Ideally experience in IBG Operations (trade finance, corporate loan products).
• Strong risk control mindset with experience in Operational Risk Management, RCSA and/or Third Party Risk Management.
• Positive, proactive attitude, strong interpersonal and communication skills, and a collaborative team player.
