VP, Cross Asset Sales (FIG), Global Financial Markets

About the role

DBS is looking for a VP, Cross Asset Sales (FIG) in Global Financial Markets, based in DBS Asia Central. The role drives institutional revenue through cross-asset derivative solutions and flow trading with a portfolio of hedge fund clients, deepens wallet share with tier-1 multi-strategy and macro hedge funds and expands engagement across flow and structured solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Drive institutional revenue via cross-asset derivative solutions and flow trading with hedge fund clients.
• Deepen wallet share with tier-1 multi-strategy and macro hedge funds and onboard new hedge funds for the bank.
• Engage and expand markets trading with hedge fund clients across flow and structured solutions.
• Originate and execute financing solutions including repos, total return swaps and collateral swaps.
• Assist traders in putting out trading axes to hedge fund clients and share market colour and trade ideas.
• Work with the product team and other stakeholders to build the infrastructure and product suite for greater hedge fund engagement.

Required profile

• Well-established network of hedge fund contacts alongside technical knowledge of derivatives and securities financing.
• 5-10 years of experience in a major bank on an institutional sales desk covering hedge funds.
• Strong track record of engaging and onboarding new global macro and multi-strategy hedge funds.
• Strong understanding of financial markets dynamics, in either FICC or equities, and the ability to communicate it to portfolio managers.
• Ability to handle flow trading volumes with attention to detail in trade execution under tight time windows.
• Ability to understand the needs of top-tier hedge funds and convey them concisely to stakeholders within the bank.
