VP, Full Stack Engineering Lead (Equity), Wealth Management Technology

About the role

DBS is looking for a VP, Full Stack Engineering Lead for Equity Products and Execution within its Wealth Management Technology and Group Technology teams. You will drive the technical vision, architectural strategy and delivery of a next-generation Cash Equity and Equity Derivatives ecosystem, covering Cash Equities, Equity Swaps, Listed Options, Delta-One and Structured Equity products. The role suits a strategic, hands-on leader combining deep equity domain knowledge with expertise in scalable, cloud-native, high-throughput full-stack platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Drive the equity execution ecosystem toward a cloud-native, microservices-based architecture on container platforms such as OpenShift or Kubernetes.
• Identify commonalities across equity product lines and design reusable services for shared execution, pricing and platform needs.
• Lead and mentor engineering squads, set common engineering standards, reusable code patterns and unified design reviews.
• Design low-latency transaction flows, real-time market data distribution and event-driven architectures using WebSockets and messaging platforms such as AMQ or Kafka.
• Deliver resilient server-side architectures in Java, Spring Boot and Python, with ReactJS frontends for real-time operational workflows, risk views and trade lifecycles.
• Integrate real-time market data from Bloomberg, Reuters and exchange feeds, and pricing models, volatility surfaces and analytics engines into the transaction lifecycle.
• Evaluate and deploy emerging technologies such as AI coding assistants, NLP and LLM integrations.
• Act as technical advisor to product owners, business heads and senior leadership, turning business needs into technical roadmaps.

Required profile

• 9+ years of experience in enterprise financial environments such as Tier 1 investment banks or institutional FinTechs, leading Agile squads on equity trading platforms.
• Expert-level hands-on engineering in Java (Spring Boot), ReactJS and Python.
• Experience architecting and migrating platforms to Kubernetes or OpenShift, with strong CI/CD automation.
• Proven success building high-performance, low-latency equity platforms such as OMS/EMS, algorithmic execution hubs or real-time risk platforms.
• Strong equity domain knowledge of Cash Equities, Equity Swaps, Delta-One and listed/exotic derivatives, including trade lifecycles, STP and electronic distribution.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field; Agile or cloud certifications such as PMI-ACP or CKAD preferred.
