About the role
A leading global insurer is looking for a Life Actuarial professional to join as VP Modelling Actuary. You will set the standard for how models are built, challenged and governed, and act as the go-to expert for the wider actuarial function.
Key responsibilities
- Oversee actuarial model development, ensuring compliance with model risk policies and controls
- Review and challenge model methodologies, assumptions, outputs and associated risks
- Provide modelling expertise and support to actuarial teams
- Drive efficiency improvements across models, tools and processes
- Strengthen model governance (documentation, monitoring, issue remediation) while coaching and developing junior colleagues
Required profile
- Qualified actuary with membership of a recognised actuarial body
- Strong actuarial experience, ideally including hands-on modelling and stochastic valuation
- Proven ability to manage projects, meet deadlines and prioritise competing demands
- Clear written and verbal communication, able to explain complex concepts to varied stakeholders
