VP, Relationship Manager - Private Markets Funds

About the role

This VP Relationship Manager role sits within the Private Markets Funds team of DBS's Financial Institutions Group. It supports the growth of client coverage across Private Markets Funds clients, working closely with senior Relationship Managers to originate new relationships and deepen existing ones across Private Equity, Venture Capital, Private Credit, Infrastructure, Real Estate, Secondaries and Fund of Funds clients. The role delivers banking solutions across lending, cash management, treasury, trade finance and hedging.

Key responsibilities

• Contribute to team and individual budget targets by identifying new clients, products and business initiatives in the private markets funds segment.
• Originate new private market funds client relationships, driving product cross-sell and deeper wallet share.
• Develop and deepen relationships with key client groups, offering fund financing, cash management, trade finance, treasury services and hedging solutions through the bank's One Bank network.
• Demonstrate familiarity with fund finance and lending, including subscription line facilities, and work independently on origination, execution and portfolio management.
• Evaluate transaction structures and client creditworthiness using strong credit knowledge in line with bank credit policies.
• Understand hedging instruments such as FX swaps and options, cross-currency swaps and interest rate swaps, with hands-on ISDA documentation experience.
• Develop account plans based on client priorities, investment strategies and market trends.
• Maintain KYC and customer due diligence standards in line with regulatory obligations.
• Stay informed on market trends and the competitive landscape to refine client solutions.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business or a related discipline.
• Minimum 8 to 10 years of relevant experience in a Financial Institutions Group, fund finance, financial sponsors or corporate banking coverage role.
• Prior experience covering funds, financial sponsors or private markets funds clients is preferred.
• Proactive, self-motivated and commercially minded.

Required skills

• Strong analytical, credit and risk management skills, including assessment of complex financing structures and financial analysis.
• Good knowledge of corporate banking products: lending, cash management, treasury, trade finance and hedging.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
