VP, Specialist, Business Audit - Global Financial Markets

About the role

Group Audit at DBS helps the Board and Executive Management meet the strategic and operational objectives of the DBS Group by conducting independent checks that the Group's risk and control processes are adequate and effective. This role covers business audit across Singapore and overseas locations where DBS Bank operates, with a primary focus on Treasury and Markets, Securities Business, Digital Exchange and Fund Management functions.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, lead and perform risk-based audits across Singapore and overseas locations, focusing on Treasury and Markets, Securities Business, Digital Exchange and Fund Management
• Audit central functions such as Group Procurement and Human Resources to assess control effectiveness and compliance
• Evaluate internal controls design and identify gaps through reviews of business processes and operational workflows
• Develop audit strategies and annual audit plans aligned with risk appetite and regulatory requirements
• Lead audit teams in fieldwork, control testing and documentation of findings with supporting evidence
• Prepare audit reports with findings, risk assessments and recommendations, and monitor remediation of findings
• Help develop AI tools and agents, and champion data and audit analytic tools
• Advise business stakeholders on control enhancements and best practices, and maintain relationships with external auditors, regulators and internal stakeholders

Required profile

• Minimum 12 years of professional experience in internal audit, risk management or financial services audit
• Extensive experience auditing Treasury, Markets, Securities or similar financial operations
• Experience leading audit teams and managing multiple concurrent engagements
• Professional audit qualification (CIA, CISA or equivalent) or willingness to obtain one within 12 months
• Willingness to travel internationally for audit assignments

Required skills

• Knowledge of internal control frameworks, audit methodologies and risk assessment techniques
• Experience using AI and audit tools, and proficiency in audit tools, data analytics and relevant software
• Understanding of banking regulations, compliance and governance standards
• Strong analytical, communication and stakeholder management skills
