VP, Team Lead, User Experience Research, Consumer Banking

About the role

DBS is looking for a Research Manager (10+ years in research, including 3+ years in people leadership) to own research for Consumer Banking's retail portfolio. Reporting to the Head of Research, you will lead a team of 4 to 5 researchers covering the retail portfolio, alongside a co-lead for Wealth, and embed customer insights across product development. The role sits in Group Design, Consumer Banking Group, in DBS Asia Central.

Key responsibilities

• Build and develop a high-performing research team, with career pathways and coaching on research craft, stakeholder management and leadership
• Partner with Design, Product, Data, Engineering and Business to turn insights into prioritized product strategy and outcomes
• Set research quality, rigor, ethics and standards, and define frameworks and best practices
• Advocate for customer-centric decision-making and raise research literacy across the organization
• Run a research roadmap balancing short-term product needs with longer-term strategic and generative research
• Use a wide range of methods, including generative, evaluative, behavioral, attitudinal, qualitative, quantitative and mixed methods
• Manage research agencies and vendors, and oversee governance, compliance and resource planning
• Drive adoption of AI-assisted workflows, automation and knowledge management, and represent DBS research externally

Required profile

• 10+ years in UX, design, customer experience, market or behavioral research, with 3+ years leading research teams
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (Psychology, Sociology, Anthropology, HCI, Human Factors) or equivalent; a Master's or PhD is welcome but not expected
• Proven track record of research that influenced product strategy and business outcomes
• Experience in cross-functional digital product settings, preferably banking, fintech, technology or e-commerce
