VP Technical Project Manager – AI

About the role

The AI Engineering team within GIC’s Technology Group is expanding rapidly. As a VP Technical Project Manager (AI), you will be the single point of accountability for delivery execution across two distinct operating models – the AI Foundation platform squads and the Forward Deploy squad – ensuring smooth, reliable delivery of AI‑enabled infrastructure and services.

Key responsibilities

• Own the delivery rhythm: sprint planning, backlog health, dependency tracking, risk escalation and milestone reporting.
• Coordinate across platform engineering, SRE, security, forward‑deploy, and vendor resources to keep teams focused on engineering work.
• Manage delivery execution for long‑lived infrastructure (gateway, runtime, IAM, memory, observability) and time‑boxed business engagements.
• Provide clear, honest status updates to leadership and remove blockers for engineering teams.
• Introduce structure and governance without adding unnecessary bureaucracy as the platform scales.

Required profile

• Proven track record of delivering complex technical projects in an agile environment.
• Experience coordinating multiple cross‑functional squads, including platform, SRE, security and external vendors.
• Strong ability to manage dependencies, risks and stakeholder expectations.
• Comfort operating in a fast‑moving, evolving AI landscape with shifting priorities.
