VP, Technology Governance & Controls

About the role

We are looking for a senior technology risk and governance leader to oversee the organization’s technology and operational control environment. The VP, Technology Governance & Controls will work closely with business, technology and risk partners to strengthen governance frameworks, improve control effectiveness and ensure regulatory readiness.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with technology and operational teams to enhance governance frameworks, strengthen control environments and promote effective risk management practices.
• Monitor, assess and report on emerging technology, operational and third‑party risks, ensuring remediation actions are identified and tracked to completion.
• Prepare management reporting, dashboards and governance materials that provide leadership with insights into risk themes, trends and control effectiveness.
• Coordinate responses to regulatory, audit and compliance matters, ensuring timely execution of action plans and alignment with internal standards.
• Lead stakeholder engagement, awareness initiatives and governance activities to foster accountability, risk ownership and a strong controls culture.

Required profile

• Minimum 12 years of experience in technology risk, IT governance, operational risk, audit, compliance or related disciplines.
• Strong knowledge of technology controls, risk assessment methodologies, third‑party risk management and governance best practices.
• Proven ability to engage senior stakeholders, manage complex risk topics and deliver concise executive reporting.
• Relevant certifications such as CISA, CISM, CISSP, CRISC or equivalent are advantageous.
• Demonstrated leadership with excellent communication, stakeholder management and problem‑solving abilities.
