VP/AVP, Mobile Development Lead (iOS), Consumer Banking

About the role

DBS is looking for a VP/AVP, Mobile Development Lead (iOS) within its Consumer Banking Group Technology, part of Group Technology. The role leads the design, delivery and modernization of iOS applications that power digital banking features, and provides technical leadership to iOS engineers. The position is based at DBS @ UE Biz Hub, full time.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the design, development and delivery of iOS apps covering customer onboarding and authentication, portfolio and wealth management, payments and transactions, and real-time notifications and alerts.
• Translate business requirements into scalable, maintainable iOS solutions and drive end-to-end delivery within the squad, working with architects and engineering leads.
• Guide iOS engineers through solution design reviews, code reviews, technical problem solving and delivery planning, and mentor team members.
• Lead modernization of the iOS platform: migrating from Carthage to Swift Package Manager, refactoring from UIKit to SwiftUI with zero production disruption, adding hybrid app capabilities with WKWebView, and adopting AI-assisted development tools.
• Champion code quality, automated testing, CI/CD and DevOps practices, performance optimization and observability, and support deployment and production readiness.

Required profile

• Proven experience designing and delivering enterprise-scale iOS applications.
• Experience leading engineering squads and coordinating delivery across multiple stakeholders and teams.
• Demonstrated success modernizing legacy iOS platforms and managing technical debt at scale.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, balancing technical, business and delivery concerns.
• Experience in digital banking, wealth management, investment products, insurance or financial planning is highly desirable.

Required skills

• Swift (including async/await), UIKit and SwiftUI, iOS SDK and platform APIs.
• Architecture patterns such as MVVM, VIPER or modular architectures, dependency injection and composition.
• Reactive frameworks such as Combine or RxSwift.
• CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices and enterprise deployment platforms.
• Advantageous: hybrid mobile architectures, WKWebView, AI-assisted coding tools.
