VP/SVP, Portfolio Advisor - Private Banking

About the role

DBS Private Banking offers a full-service, personalised banking service for its clients in Asia, supported by a team of experienced investment advisors and partnerships with the DBS network and global institutions. This is a senior leadership opportunity within the Private Bank's Strategic Portfolio Advisory team, working closely with Relationship Managers to deliver holistic portfolio advice and solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Provide best-in-class holistic portfolio advisory and solutions to PBTPC clients in close collaboration with Relationship Managers
• Drive the core portfolio approach across client segments through mutual funds, hedge funds, evergreen funds, closed-end private equity, DPM and in-house portfolio solutions
• Attend client meetings, profile clients, determine overall asset allocation and build customised multi-asset core portfolio proposals based on risk profile and preferences
• Monitor client portfolios proactively, conduct regular reviews and rebalancing
• Convert in-franchise cash AUM into portfolio investment AUM
• Contribute to building, maintaining and monetising in-house proprietary model portfolios of mutual funds and in-house solutions
• Shape the strategic portfolio advisory journey through strategic initiatives and take on ad-hoc special projects
• Act in line with the bank's legal, compliance, risk and policy frameworks

Required profile

• Degree in Finance, Economics, Banking or a related discipline
• CFA highly desired
• Minimum 7-12 years of relevant experience in portfolio advisory, fund sales, investment advisory or investment research
• Deep knowledge of investment products across asset classes
• Strong understanding of strategic asset allocation and core portfolio construction
• Excellent client relationship management, presentation, stakeholder management and data-driven mindset
• Able to work both in a team and independently; self-starter, motivated, meticulous and analytical
