Wafer Fab Operator – Manufacturing Operations Support

About the role

The Wafer Fab Operator supports manufacturing operations in a semiconductor wafer fabrication facility. Working in a class 1000 ESD‑sensitive cleanroom, the operator handles wafer disposition through photolithography, plating, polishing and vacuum processes while ensuring strict adherence to manufacturing engineering instructions.

Key responsibilities

• Track and record wafer progress in the Work‑in‑Process (WIP) tracking system.
• Analyze production data, identify anomalies and report them to engineering teams.
• Follow and enforce Manufacturing Engineering Instructions (MPI) for each process step.
• Achieve certification on assigned tools and operations, maintaining competency.
• Participate in continuous‑improvement projects aimed at productivity, yield enhancement and scrap reduction.
• Prepare chemicals manually and wear the required cleanroom jumpsuit at all times.

Required profile

• Experience or strong interest in semiconductor wafer manufacturing.
• Ability to work accurately in a highly controlled cleanroom environment.
• Attention to detail and commitment to data integrity.
• Willingness to learn and become certified on specialized equipment.
