Windows System Engineer (L1/L2)

About the role

The role involves designing, deploying, and maintaining Windows‑based server environments and VMware virtualisation platforms. You will act as an escalation point for L1 engineers and ensure high availability of critical services.

Key responsibilities

• Provide escalation support and guidance to L1 system engineers.
• Participate in weekend maintenance, on‑call rotation and 24/7 incident response.
• Install, configure and patch Windows Server 2019/2022, Exchange 2019 and Exchange Online.
• Manage Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, File & Print, MS Cluster, AD FS and PowerShell automation.
• Deploy, monitor and troubleshoot VMware vSphere 8.x, ESXi hosts and virtual machines.
• Configure RAID, update firmware and manage Dell/Lenovo hardware.
• Perform vulnerability assessments, patching and backup verification.
• Produce and maintain documentation for server deployment, configuration and virtualization processes.

Required profile

• 2‑4 years of experience in Windows server and VMware administration.
• Professional certificate, diploma or degree in Computer/Telecommunication Engineering or related field.
• Strong problem‑solving, customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a central operations team.
