Workplace Safety and Health Coordinator

About the role

The Workplace Safety and Health Coordinator will lead the implementation and monitoring of occupational health and safety programmes across STAR Engineering project sites in Singapore. You will work closely with site operations, project managers and external stakeholders to ensure a safe working environment.

Key responsibilities

• Implement and monitor workplace occupational health and safety policies on project sites.
• Conduct mass toolbox meetings, monthly WSH committee meetings and regular site inspections.
• Lead internal safety audits, risk assessments, job hazard analyses and corrective action follow‑ups.
• Prepare accident reports, lead investigations and maintain incident analysis documentation.
• Ensure compliance with statutory regulations and ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001 standards.
• Deliver safety training and awareness programmes for staff and workers.
• Facilitate internal audits for ISO and OHSAS certifications.

Required profile

• Degree or Diploma in Engineering, Workplace Safety or related discipline.
• Registered Workplace Safety and Health Officer (WSHO).
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in construction, with at least 3 years in a safety officer role.
• Strong communication skills with internal and external stakeholders.
• Prior experience on HDB projects is an advantage.
