Accountant – General Ledger & Reporting

About the role

The Accountant will ensure accurate and transparent financial records with a primary focus on General Ledger activities. You will manage core accounting processes, support financial analysis, and enable data‑driven decision‑making across the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Manage daily accounting operations, including journal entries, reconciliations, accruals, and general ledger maintenance.
• Execute month‑end and period‑end closing activities to deliver timely financial reports.
• Maintain accurate records for inventory, fixed assets, bank accounts, and other balance‑sheet items.
• Review and monitor operating expenses, cost allocations, and revenue recognition entries.
• Prepare monthly financial reports, schedules, and group reporting for management.
• Partner with cross‑finance and business operations teams to ensure reporting accuracy.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, company policies, and internal controls.
• Support internal and external audits, statutory reporting, and tax filing requirements.
• Identify and implement process improvements using ERP systems and BI tools.
• Assist with ad‑hoc finance projects, system enhancements, and business process optimization.

Required profile

• Degree in Accounting and/or professional certification (e.g., ACCA, CA, CPA).
• 4‑6 years of experience in accounting or audit roles.
• Strong knowledge of internal controls, regulatory compliance, and GAAP/IFRS.
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
• Effective team player with strong collaboration skills.
