Accounting Manager – Japanese Speaking

About the role

We are seeking an Accounting Manager who is fluent in Japanese to join our finance team in Singapore. The role involves overseeing daily accounting operations, supporting the Japan headquarters, and ensuring compliance with local regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Perform monthly, quarterly and year‑end closing in line with SFRS and group reporting guidelines.
• Manage daily financial operations including accounts receivable, accounts payable and general ledger.
• Prepare financial reporting packages for the Japan parent company.
• Handle local tax filings (GST, Corporate Income Tax) and annual ACRA submissions.
• Coordinate with external auditors and tax advisors.
• Monitor cash flow and support internal control processes.
• Guide and review the work of 2‑3 junior accounting staff.
• Assist in the implementation of a new accounting system.

Required profile

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field (CPA/ACCA a plus).
• 3–5 years of hands‑on accounting experience.
• Experience leading or mentoring a small team.
• Strong knowledge of Singapore Financial Reporting Standards (SFRS) and local tax rules.
• Proficiency with accounting ERP software.

• Salary range $5,000‑$6,000 per month.
• Annual wage supplement (1 month) and variable bonus (≈1 month).
• Standard working hours: Monday‑Friday, 9:00 AM‑6:00 PM.
