Accounts Receivable Accountant – Singapore

About the role

The Accountant will own the end‑to‑end accounts receivable process, support month‑end closing and ensure accurate financial reporting. Working closely with Sales, Project and Service teams, you will help improve cash collection, maintain strong internal controls and drive continuous finance‑process improvements.

Key responsibilities

• Issue invoices and manage billing for all projects and services.
• Monitor customer payments, follow up on overdue balances and work with internal stakeholders to improve cash flow and DSO.
• Validate project and service revenue, ensuring timely invoicing and correct revenue recognition.
• Assist month‑end close activities, including journal entries, balance‑sheet reconciliations and financial reporting.
• Prepare financial analyses such as variance analysis, job profitability reports and cash forecasts.
• Implement and maintain internal controls to guarantee compliance and accurate reporting.
• Coordinate with external auditors and support annual audit activities.
• Identify and implement process‑efficiency opportunities.
• Provide backup support for invoicing and other finance‑related tasks as needed.

Required profile

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of accounting or finance experience, preferably with strong exposure to accounts receivable.
• Good understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting and month‑end closing.
• Experience with balance‑sheet reconciliations, revenue recognition and financial analysis is a plus.
• Strong analytical mindset, high attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines.
• Proactive team player with solid communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Continuous‑improvement orientation.
