AI Data Engineer

About the role

We are looking for an AI Data Engineer to join Fugro’s Geo‑data team in Singapore on a three‑year fixed‑term contract. You will design, build and maintain robust data pipelines that feed AI, machine‑learning and analytics solutions, ensuring data is reliable, secure and governed across our enterprise platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and operate scalable ETL/ELT pipelines that ingest, transform and deliver data from enterprise systems, files and databases to AI and analytics environments.
• Integrate data across Microsoft Fabric, Databricks, Power Platform and other cloud services, creating connectors, APIs or data services as needed.
• Implement monitoring, error handling, lineage and auditability for data flows; support data modelling and ensure datasets are accurate, consistent and well‑documented.
• Prepare and structure data for machine‑learning model training, evaluation and production, collaborating closely with AI/ML engineers on feature engineering and data requirements.
• Apply access‑control, privacy and governance policies; produce clear documentation of data transformations, dependencies and limitations.

Required profile

• Eligible Singapore citizen or permanent resident.
• Proven experience building data pipelines on enterprise platforms, preferably with Databricks and Microsoft Fabric (medallion architecture).
• Strong understanding of data quality, lineage, governance and security best practices.
• Ability to work independently and within cross‑functional teams to deliver data solutions for AI and analytics.
