AMRT Repair Development Engineer

About the role

The AMRT Repair Development Engineer will work within the Asia Engineering Repair Development Centre, collaborating with repair shops, the Global Repair Development Centre and multiple engineering functions. The role focuses on improving repair services and technologies to boost engine reliability, availability, safety and overall performance.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and qualify new repair and inspection technologies, supporting their industrialisation.
• Deliver updated repair processes and programme requirements to repair facilities.
• Apply technical expertise in welding, materials, manufacturing or mechanical engineering to repair‑development activities.
• Resolve technical and process issues using established procedures and consult senior staff when needed.
• Work with cross‑functional teams to address operational challenges.
• Engage with customers as a technical interface, building relationships and ensuring clear communication.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Welding, Materials, Manufacturing, Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Willingness to travel up to 10% of the time.

Required skills

• Basic proficiency with CAD software.
• Basic proficiency with standard computing and engineering software.
• Knowledge of repair, joining, inspection, materials or manufacturing processes.
