Application Engineer (Entry level welcome)

About the role

Join Johnson Controls as an Application Engineer, supporting customers with technical quotations, business‑development case studies and composite‑based solutions. This entry‑level position offers hands‑on experience in design, cost estimation and on‑site customer interaction.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical support by responding to customer queries, preparing cost estimates and design proposals.
• Collaborate with engineering, sales and operations to define composite material specifications and tooling requirements.
• Create 3D CAD models, solid and surface representations of components, tooling and finished goods.
• Develop detailed bills of materials and present proposals to customers.
• Travel with the business‑development team to customer facilities for in‑depth discussions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Process & Instrumentation Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 1 year of relevant experience.
• Willingness to learn new technologies and composite applications.

Required skills

• PLC programming.
• PCVue or ICONICS software.
• CAD modeling (solid and surface).
• 3D visualization of components and tooling.
• Knowledge of ACMV systems and Johnson Controls Metasys (advantage).
