Area Sales Manager

About the role

Zimmer Biomet is seeking an Area Sales Manager to lead a team of Sales Representatives and drive the adoption of its medical‑technology products across an assigned geographic cluster. The role focuses on achieving sales targets while developing the capabilities of the field team.

Key responsibilities

• Set and monitor performance goals for Sales Representatives to meet annual and territory targets.
• Coach, mentor, and evaluate the sales team through regular field visits and structured feedback sessions.
• Ensure representatives are trained on product knowledge, technical specifications, and effective interpersonal selling techniques.
• Act as the primary liaison between the field team and internal departments such as Marketing, Finance, and Operations.
• Translate corporate updates and market changes into actionable guidance for the sales force.
• Maintain a strong working knowledge of Zimmer Biomet and competitor product portfolios.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading sales teams in a medical‑device or related technology environment.
• Demonstrated ability to achieve sales objectives and develop talent.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to influence cross‑functional partners.
