Assistant Cook – Full‑Time Position

About the role

Assistant Cook ensures the kitchen runs smoothly by supporting the Cook in food preparation, maintaining cleanliness, and handling inventory. The role involves assisting with cooking tasks, managing supplies, and upholding hygiene standards.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Cook in food preparation activities such as cleaning, cutting, chopping and peeling ingredients.
• Clean and sanitise food preparation areas according to hygiene and safety standards.
• Wash, disinfect and store cooking utensils and equipment.
• Buy, weigh and store ingredients and food supplies.
• Operate kitchen appliances including cutters, knives, mixers and ovens.
• Manage inventory, unload supplies and organise the storeroom.
• Develop new menu items and improvise existing ones.
• Maintain kitchen expenses, food costs, inventory and staffing within budget.
• Participate in programs to improve service quality and employee productivity.
• Maintain clean work areas, utensils, and equipment.

Required profile

• Able to cook North Indian food.
• Willing to work shifts.
