Assistant Relationship Manager – Corporate Banking

About the role

The Assistant Relationship Manager supports senior relationship managers and the Head of Corporate Banking in delivering marketing initiatives, managing client onboarding, and conducting credit and risk analysis. This role bridges the bank’s internal teams and corporate customers to drive business growth and ensure regulatory compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Assist Relationship Managers and the Head with strategic planning for marketing and client‑facing initiatives.
• Visit customers to assess credit risk, identify business opportunities, and prepare discussion sheets, deal memos, and call reports.
• Collaborate with the GTS team and other stakeholders to promote working‑capital facilities and the bank’s internet banking platform.
• Handle customer inquiries and coordinate relationships across head office, domestic and overseas branches, and internal departments.
• Liaise with customers on account opening, prepare name clearance and due‑diligence checklists, and ensure KYC/AML compliance in line with MAS regulations.
• Manage an ongoing portfolio of client accounts, monitor covenants, risk triggers, and adverse developments, and produce credit reviews.
• Generate ad‑hoc periodic or non‑periodic reports, data, and statistics as required.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience as an Assistant Relationship Manager in corporate banking.
• Strong credit analysis capabilities and solid accounting knowledge.
• Good understanding of financial analysis, KYC, and AML requirements.
• Fluent in spoken and written English and Chinese to interact with Chinese‑speaking counterparties.
