Associate Heart Valve Specialist – Manufacturing

About the role

The Associate Heart Valve Specialist supports the manufacturing of stent and valve assemblies by performing precise sewing operations in a clean‑room environment. This position follows established procedures, SOPs and quality standards to ensure each component meets strict specifications.

Key responsibilities

• Use hand tools such as needles, scissors, forceps and specialized tooling, as well as microscopes and magnifying lamps, to complete sewing steps on stent/valve assemblies.
• Verify completed steps against specifications and record traceable information in device history records, including entry into JDE and MES systems.
• Perform line clearance, cleaning and sanitizing of work stations at shift start and when changing work orders.
• Conduct visual inspections under a microscope and review colleagues' work sequentially.
• Maintain general housekeeping, material handling and area sanitization using approved chemicals.

Required profile

• Secondary education with prior experience in sewing, GMP, clean‑room or medical‑device environments (preferred but not mandatory).
• Ability to read, comprehend and speak English with good communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow detailed manufacturing instructions with minimal supervision.
• Team‑oriented mindset and adherence to company safety, environmental and pandemic protocols.

Required skills

• Proficiency with small hand tools: needles, scissors, forceps, specialized tooling.
• Experience using microscopes and magnifying lamps for visual inspection.
• Basic operation of MES (Manufacturing Execution System) and JDE (Enterprise Resource Planning) for data entry.
• Fundamental computer skills.
• Manual dexterity and hand‑eye coordination.
