Buyer/Planner 2

About the role

The Buyer/Planner 2 will manage the procurement and planning of materials, components and equipment for KLA’s semiconductor manufacturing operations. You will ensure timely supply, control costs and support continuous improvement across the supply chain.

Key responsibilities

• Purchase materials, components and equipment based on MRP or reorder point triggers.
• Determine material requirements from engineering and production schedules and maintain target inventory levels.
• Drive supply assurance by executing MRB actions, monitoring supplier on‑time delivery and resolving shortages.
• Manage cost through EOQ pricing analysis, rework cost control and reduction of expedited freight and PPV.
• Plan, schedule and monitor material flow through the production cycle.
• Perform excess and obsolescence activities to mitigate risk.
• Gather quotations, evaluate bids, award contracts and develop specifications for new orders.
• Assess vendor reliability, develop new sources and participate in supplier scorecard processes.
• Create training materials, standard operating procedures and support system set‑up, data cleansing, UAT and go‑live activities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management or Logistics.
• Relevant experience in production planning and buying within a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, macros, Word, Outlook, Business Intelligence tools and SAP.
