C++ Software Developer

About the role

We are looking for a skilled C++ Software Developer to join a fast‑growing engineering team. You will work on high‑performance data processing systems, building scalable microservices and distributed applications in a collaborative environment.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, enhance, and maintain C++‑based microservices and backend applications.
• Optimise software for performance, scalability and reliability in large‑scale data processing.
• Identify, troubleshoot and resolve software issues to ensure system stability.
• Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code following engineering best practices.
• Participate in code reviews to uphold high development standards.
• Collaborate with infrastructure and support teams to streamline deployments and operations.
• Contribute to the architecture and design of distributed data processing pipelines.
• Stay current with emerging technologies and modern C++ advancements.

Required profile

• 3+ years of professional C++ development experience.
• Strong background in building microservices and asynchronous, multi‑threaded applications.
• Solid Linux development and debugging experience.
• Good knowledge of databases and SQL.
• Familiarity with data serialisation technologies such as Apache Arrow, Parquet, Protocol Buffers or FlatBuffers.
• Experience with gRPC, HTTP/REST and WebSocket protocols.
• Exposure to cloud platforms and containerisation (AWS, Google Cloud, Docker, Kubernetes).
• Understanding of distributed systems and large‑scale data processing architectures.
• Experience in financial services (market data, trading systems, order gateways) is a plus.
• Strong grasp of memory management, performance optimisation and low‑latency system design.
