Civil Engineer – Oil & Petrochemical Projects

About the role

We are seeking a qualified Civil Engineer to support oil and petrochemical construction projects in Singapore, primarily at P Bukom and Jurong Island. The role involves overseeing site activities, ensuring compliance with specifications, and delivering projects safely and on schedule.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the main technical adviser on‑site for subcontractors, craftsmen and operatives.
• Review and verify plans, drawings and quantities before execution.
• Coordinate timely delivery of materials and mobilisation of plant and equipment.
• Develop cost‑effective solutions and proposals for project scopes.
• Liaise with clients, consultants, vendors, local authorities and other stakeholders.
• Supervise site staff, labour force and subcontractors, ensuring quality, health and safety standards.
• Prepare and submit project documents such as method statements, schedules and execution plans.
• Monitor progress, resolve technical issues and report on project status.

Required profile

• Minimum degree in Civil Engineering.
• At least 3 years of relevant experience in civil engineering within the oil and petrochemical sector.
• Strong knowledge of construction regulations, quality control and safety practices.
• Excellent communication and coordination skills with diverse project teams.
