Commercial Analyst

About the role

Arup is seeking a Commercial Analyst to evaluate the financial and operational performance of a portfolio of projects. You will work closely with the Group Commercial Manager, providing data‑driven insights that support strategic decision‑making across the organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse project financial data, update forecasts and maintain commercial performance metrics.
• Prepare and review reports, letters and other documentation for accuracy and quality.
• Represent the commercial team in internal meetings and contribute to cross‑functional initiatives.
• Support continuous improvement of commercial processes and promote commercial acumen throughout the business.
• Train colleagues on Arup’s financial systems and assist with data interrogation.

Required profile

• Relevant tertiary qualification in engineering, quantity surveying, finance or a related field.
• 3–5 years of commercial experience in a consulting or construction environment.
• Strong understanding of legal, contract and project management principles.
• Excellent verbal and written communication, negotiation and persuasion skills.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in MS Office.
• Experience with Power BI.
• Ability to learn and use internal commercial software.
