Contracts Manager (Construction)

About the role

The Contracts Manager will support the Managing Director in securing new construction projects and will oversee contract administration from tender through to project close‑out. This role requires close collaboration with project teams, clients, main contractors and subcontractors to ensure contractual obligations are met and financial performance is optimised.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Managing Director in responding to RFQs from local and overseas clients.
• Prepare pre‑tender documentation, manage tender clarifications, and attend tender meetings.
• Draft and control contract documents, reviewing commercial terms with clients and subcontractors.
• Support Project Managers in preparing monthly progress payments and variation orders.
• Attend site meetings as required and maintain comprehensive records of design changes.
• Negotiate claims, sub‑contractor packages, and supplier agreements.
• Prepare budgets, cash‑flow projections and monitor project costs.
• Produce cost‑history reports for contract negotiations.
• Perform other ad‑hoc duties as assigned.

Required profile

• Excellent interpersonal, communication and negotiation abilities.
• Strong analytical skills and the capacity to work independently.
• Minimum Diploma/Graduate degree in Engineering (Civil) or related field.
• At least 5 years of experience in civil construction contract administration.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Experience with MS Project.
• Knowledge of Primavera scheduling software.
• Ability to use AutoCAD.
