Cyber Threat Analyst

About the role

OCBC is looking for a Cyber Threat Analyst to join its 24x7 Security Operations Centre. You will monitor, analyse and respond to cyber‑threat events in real time, helping protect the bank’s systems, data and customers.

Key responsibilities

• Perform continuous monitoring, analysis and investigation of security events.
• Detect, identify and contain potential cyber‑attacks or intrusions.
• Assess the effectiveness and impact of observed attacks.
• Log security events and manage them through to closure while meeting SLA targets.
• Produce reports and documentation on cyber‑security incidents.
• Support the broader team on cyber‑security related matters.

Required profile

• Degree or Diploma in Cyber Security or a related field.
• Knowledge of common network tools such as ping, traceroute and nslookup.
• Understanding of cyber‑defence policies, procedures and regulations.
• Familiarity with various network communication types (LAN, WAN, MAN, WWAN, WLAN).
• Experience with SIEM and Intrusion Detection System (IDS) tools.
• Awareness of different attack classes (passive, active, insider, etc.).
