Cybersecurity Development Programme – 12‑Month Graduate Scheme

About the role

The Cybersecurity Development Programme (CSDP) is a 12‑month structured pathway designed by the Cyber Security Agency of Singapore to develop fresh graduates and early‑career professionals into cybersecurity talent for the public sector.

Key responsibilities

• Complete a one‑month intensive classroom training covering technical fundamentals and professional skills, earning certifications such as SANS SEC504, SANS ICS310 and Cisco Certified CyberOps Associate.
• Undertake an 11‑month posting with a CSA division or partner government agency, gaining hands‑on experience in domains such as malware analysis, digital forensics, penetration testing, threat intelligence and governance, risk & compliance.
• Participate in national‑level cybersecurity projects, additional technical and non‑technical training, and engagements with industry partners.

Required profile

• Passion for cybersecurity and a strong desire to contribute to Singapore’s digital defence.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Engineering or other STEM fields.
• Less than three years of relevant work experience (or fresh graduate) with demonstrated aptitude and curiosity for security technologies.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic, public‑service environment.

Required skills

• Foundational knowledge of computer networks, operating systems, programming and information security concepts.
• Technical certifications: SANS SEC504, SANS ICS310, Cisco Certified CyberOps Associate (or equivalent).
• Practical skills in malware analysis, digital forensics, penetration testing, threat intelligence or governance, risk & compliance.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities, with clear communication of technical concepts to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
