Data Center Operation Engineer – Graduate Program (Singapore)

About the role

Alibaba Cloud is looking for enthusiastic graduates to join its Data Center Operation and Maintenance team in Singapore. You will help maintain, upgrade and manage the infrastructure, servers, assets and security of large‑scale IDC facilities, ensuring stable and efficient operations.

Key responsibilities

• Develop standardized operation procedures covering facilities, IT, assets and security.
• Explore and apply advanced O&M technologies such as digitalisation, automation and intelligence.
• Oversee execution of standards for incidents, changes, risks, maintenance and personnel to meet performance targets.
• Drive internal and external collaboration to optimise resource utilisation and meet customer SLA requirements.
• Ensure safety, stability and efficiency of data‑center operations.
• Contribute to R&D, planning, solution design, construction and delivery of IDC infrastructure (energy, power, HVAC, monitoring, networks, servers, etc.).
• Stay current with technological trends and support the evolution of data‑center architecture.

Required profile

• Solid knowledge of computer software, hardware and IT fundamentals.
• Understanding of foundational IT network architecture.
• Ability to perform data analysis and mining.
• Strong learning ability, curiosity about emerging technologies and adaptability.
• Excellent communication, teamwork and independent problem‑solving skills.
• Fluent in Chinese and English (listening, speaking, reading, writing) or proficiency in other local languages.
• Internship or project experience in cloud computing or the data‑center industry is preferred.
