Data Engineer

About the role

SemiAnalysis is looking for a clever and motivated Data Engineer to join its Singapore office. You will design, build, and maintain the data models that power the company’s industry models, research, and consulting services. The role blends technical depth with autonomy, requiring you to work independently while collaborating with a globally distributed team.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with lead analysts to ensure data accuracy, completeness, and utility across multiple sources and formats.
• Maintain and extend dashboards and APIs that deliver data to internal analysts and external clients.
• Support integration of new datasets, tools, and infrastructure components to enhance analytics capabilities.
• Develop resourceful technical solutions and ensure platform functionality meets business needs.
• Build strong relationships with analysts and stakeholders to deliver fit‑for‑purpose solutions.

Required profile

• At least 3 years of experience in data engineering, data science, or a closely related role.
• Highly autonomous, able to take a problem from definition to deployment with minimal oversight.
• Comfortable working in an in‑office environment and collaborating across time zones.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Python.
• Strong SQL skills.
• Advanced Excel capabilities.
• Hands‑on experience with ETL development.
• Practical experience with at least one cloud platform (GCP, AWS, or Azure).
