Design Director – Senior Interior Design Leader

About the role

We are seeking a senior design leader to head the design function of a premium, design‑led interior design and build firm in Singapore. The role combines creative vision with commercial acumen, overseeing high‑value residential and commercial projects for discerning clients.

Key responsibilities

• Lead client engagements from initial consultation through concept development, design refinement and final presentation.
• Represent the brand’s design philosophy to high‑net‑worth clients and business owners.
• Translate client lifestyles and requirements into compelling, buildable spatial designs.
• Uphold and elevate the studio’s design standards across all project phases.
• Review and improve design output, from concept boards to construction drawings.
• Drive material selection, detailing and finish quality appropriate to the luxury segment.
• Support business development through design pitches and proposal presentations.
• Mentor, develop and manage the design team, allocating resources across concurrent projects.
• Coordinate with project management and quantity surveying teams to ensure design intent is delivered on site.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years of interior design experience in the Singapore market.
• Strong portfolio of luxury residential (landed and high‑end condominiums) and commercial projects.
• Confident, polished and credible when presenting to high‑net‑worth clients.
• Ability to lead and mentor a team while remaining hands‑on with design quality.

Required skills

• Proficiency in AutoCAD.
• Proficiency in SketchUp.
• Experience with related interior design software tools.
