Director, People Analytics & HR Governance – APAC

About the role

The APAC People Analytics & HR Governance Lead will shape and drive the regional HR data strategy for Mizuho Bank across 14 countries. Reporting to the Head of HR Operations & Transformation, the role will establish a People Analytics Hub, ensure robust data architecture, and oversee risk and compliance metrics.

Key responsibilities

• Build and lead a regional People Analytics Hub to deliver insights for workforce planning, talent management, DEI, attrition and employee engagement.
• Partner with country HR teams and business stakeholders to standardise data reporting and analytics.
• Design and implement HR data architecture, define data standards, quality frameworks and taxonomies across APAC.
• Maintain governance for HR risk and controls metrics, conduct data audits and risk assessments.
• Liaise with compliance, planning and legal teams to manage data privacy and regulatory obligations.
• Collaborate with IT and HRIS teams on deployment and integration of analytics platforms such as SuccessFactors.

Required profile

• Proven senior‑level experience in HR analytics, data governance or related HR transformation functions.
• Strong understanding of HR risk, compliance and regulatory requirements in an APAC context.
• Demonstrated ability to work with cross‑functional and multi‑country teams.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
