Drilling Operator

About the role

Element is seeking a Drilling Operator to join its expanding team in Kaki Bukit, Singapore. The role involves operating drilling rigs, collecting soil and rock samples, and supporting geotechnical testing under direct supervision.

Key responsibilities

• Operate drilling rigs safely and efficiently.
• Collect high-quality soil and rock samples.
• Assist geologists with in-situ soil testing.
• Install borehole instruments such as water stand pipes, piezometers and inclinometers.
• Perform daily safety and maintenance checks to keep the rig in optimal condition.
• Adhere to workplace safety procedures at all times.

Required profile

• Hands-on, mechanically-oriented technician.
• Previous experience in an engineering or mechanical testing environment is advantageous.
• Familiarity with quality management systems such as ISO 17025 is beneficial.
• Self-motivated, able to multitask and work under pressure in a busy laboratory setting.
• Strong attention to detail and good written and verbal communication skills.
• Team-player with solid analytical and problem-solving abilities.
