Engine Technician – Mechanical Overhaul

About the role

We are looking for a dedicated Engine Technician to join our Electronic Controlled Engine Services team in Singapore. The role involves hands‑on mechanical overhauling, reconditioning and repair of both 4‑stroke and 2‑stroke marine engine components, ensuring timely delivery and high quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Perform mechanical overhauling, reconditioning and repairs of 4‑stroke and 2‑stroke engine parts received in the shop.
• Identify parts that need replacement, place orders for parts or external repair services, and coordinate with mechanical technicians.
• Assist in preparing inspection/calibration reports, spare part requisitions and work‑done reports.
• Plan jobs efficiently, schedule time, and collaborate with the Department Manager and Service Engineers to meet repair needs.
• Maintain accurate timesheets and submit them within required timelines.
• Adhere to OSHA safety rules, use prescribed safety equipment, and prioritize health and safety for self and colleagues.
• Participate in regular discussions on work‑related issues to find solutions.

Required profile

• Vocational certificate or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in mechanical repair, preferably in the marine industry.
• Good communication skills and ability to work under pressure.
• Willingness to travel frequently.
