Escalator Maintenance Technician

About the role

KONE is seeking an Escalator Maintenance Technician to ensure safe, reliable operation of escalators for our customers. You will work on‑site, building strong relationships with site contacts and end‑users while delivering high‑quality service.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain excellent customer relationships through proactive communication and timely updates.
• Perform planned maintenance, emergency call‑outs, 24/7 service tasks, and repairs according to schedule and safety standards.
• Identify safety risks on site, apply escalation procedures, and ensure a safe working environment.
• Report work performed, materials used, and equipment status in real time for accurate invoicing.
• Manage proximity stock, keep service tools, van, and instruments in good condition.
• Suggest and execute service repair opportunities or generate sales leads.
• Provide feedback to improve products, methods, and safety processes.

Required profile

• Strong focus on customer satisfaction and safety.
• Ability to plan workload effectively and work independently on site.
• Good communication skills for clear reporting to customers and internal teams.
• Willingness to follow maintenance and safety instructions and seek help when needed.
