Resident Architect

About the role

The Resident Architect will lead the architectural supervision of building projects, ensuring that all works comply with contractual, regulatory and client requirements. This on‑site position coordinates the architectural team, reviews design documents, and monitors construction progress.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise all architectural works and verify contractor compliance with contracts, authorities and agency standards.
• Oversee the architectural team, provide endorsements, and review drawings, specifications, method statements and risk assessments.
• Prepare and execute site supervision plans, monitor project progress, and produce status reports for the client.
• Ensure adherence to statutory codes, quality‑control procedures and safety regulations.
• Conduct roving safety inspections, manage incident response, and report accidents or near‑misses.

Required profile

• Minimum 8 years of experience, with at least 5 years in major building construction, architectural and fit‑out projects.
• Degree recognised by the Board of Architects (BOA).
• Strong knowledge of statutory codes, quality control, construction administration and progress reporting.
• Proven leadership abilities and familiarity with Workplace Safety & Health Manual procedures.
