Experienced Cook – Indian Cuisine (South & North)

About the role

SMART TEN PTE. LTD. is seeking a dedicated Cook to prepare high‑quality South and North Indian dishes for our restaurant in Singapore. The successful candidate will work in a fast‑paced environment, ensuring food safety, consistency, and excellent presentation for every order.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and assemble ingredients for a wide range of Indian menu items, including naan, tandoor chicken, butter chicken, idli, dosa, biryani, and more.
• Cook meals according to company recipes, maintaining portion control and presentation standards.
• Store excess food at correct temperatures to prevent spoilage and maintain hygiene.
• Monitor inventory, reorder supplies as needed, and keep workstations clean and organized.
• Assist fellow cooks to ensure timely completion of orders and resolve any order issues efficiently.
• Adhere strictly to food health and safety regulations, including cleaning and sterilising preparation areas.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED.
• Proven experience as a Cook, preferably in Indian cuisine.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and work under pressure.
• Strong communication skills and a team‑oriented mindset.

Required skills

• ServSafe food handling certification (preferred).
• Sound knowledge of cooking methods, techniques, and food safety regulations.
