Experienced Oil Derivatives Trader – Singapore

About the role

Join a global trading desk within an international company that trades oil products, biofuels, carbon, power and natural gas. Based in Singapore, you will work alongside a local sales team and contribute to a truly global workplace serving a broad client base and physical asset portfolio.

Key responsibilities

• Implement pricing and hedging strategies to optimise client transactions and drive franchise growth.
• Develop and execute profitable trading strategies while managing position size and risk for both proprietary and client deals.
• Perform daily desk tasks such as marking forward curves, providing market updates and collaborating with sales colleagues.
• Share market intelligence and tactical approaches to shape the team’s strategic direction.
• Assist in risk management of global trading books covering oil, gas and biofuels during Asian hours.

Required profile

• 3‑5 years of commodity derivatives trading experience with P&L responsibility at a bank, financial institution or physical trading house.
• Strong understanding of oil and oil products; knowledge of biofuels and transition fuels is a plus.
• Disciplined risk‑management approach and ability to work independently.
• Structured, proactive and a team player.
