Expert Backend Engineer (Java)

About the role

We are looking for an Expert Backend Engineer specialized in Java to join our data platform team. You will help build scalable, high‑performance services that power analytics, business intelligence and AI‑driven insights across the company.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services for large‑scale data platforms, including data pipelines, scheduling, and analytics APIs.
• Build and evolve core system modules and frameworks with a focus on scalability, stability and maintainability.
• Translate complex data models and computation logic into clear, user‑facing platform capabilities.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical and business problems in distributed systems.
• Contribute to system reliability, performance optimisation and high‑availability design.
• Collaborate closely with product managers, data engineers and frontend engineers.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• At least 6 years of professional Java backend development experience.
• Strong fundamentals in Java, JVM internals, concurrency and performance tuning.
• Hands‑on experience with mainstream Java frameworks such as Spring Boot and Spring Cloud.
• Proven system design skills and ability to own end‑to‑end modules.
• Familiarity with Linux environments and relational databases (e.g., MySQL).
• Strong learning ability and a sense of ownership.
