Finance Operations Intern

About the role

Simular's finance function is being built right now, from the ground up. That means an intern here is not filing paperwork behind an established process: you'll own a real function, and help decide what the process should be. You'll also get to work on something most finance interns never touch: what finance looks like when the workflows are AI-native.

Key responsibilities

• Own the Accounts Payable function: process invoices on time and help optimize cash flow.
• Work with external stakeholders to support month‑end closing.
• Help set up budgeting, forecasting, and management reporting frameworks.
• Lead discussion and execution of new finance policies, systems, and processes.
• Collaborate on projects and assignments that contribute to key finance deliverables.
• Identify automation opportunities in finance work and help build those workflows.

Required profile

• Currently pursuing a degree in Accountancy or Finance.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel; experience with accounting software is a plus.
• Keen interest in exploring AI‑native finance workflows.
• Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills.
• Able to work both independently and as part of a team.
