Financial Controller

About the role

The company, a global Dutch organization, is expanding its Singapore headquarters and seeks a Finance Controller to lead the finance function. Reporting directly to the CFO, you will oversee a small finance team and ensure robust financial reporting and analysis to support international growth.

Key responsibilities

• Lead full‑cycle finance operations, including month‑end/year‑end closing, group consolidation and cash‑flow management.
• Prepare consolidated financial statements in accordance with SFRS and support Dutch GAAP reporting and statutory compliance.
• Partner with the CFO on budgeting, forecasting, treasury, corporate tax, transfer pricing and performance analysis.
• Manage audit, tax, regulatory reporting and stakeholder relationships while driving process improvements and internal controls.
• Supervise and mentor a small finance team in a collaborative, international environment.

Required profile

• Degree in Accountancy or Finance; CPA, ACCA, CA or ISCA qualification preferred.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in accounting and finance, covering financial reporting, consolidation, audit and statutory compliance.
• Background in leasing, logistics, shipping, transportation, asset‑intensive, trading or multinational settings is advantageous.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of Singapore Financial Reporting Standards (SFRS).
• Advanced Excel proficiency.
• Experience with ERP systems.
• Exposure to treasury, foreign exchange (FX), tax and consolidation processes.
