Financial Controller

About the role

The Clermont Group is seeking an experienced and commercially astute Financial Controller to join its Group Finance team. The role is central to managing the Group’s capital management plan, capex budgeting, and cash‑flow forecasting across all operating companies.

Key responsibilities

• Act as finance business partner to operating companies and Finance Heads, providing guidance on performance.
• Partner with senior leadership on group strategy, budgets, forecasts, financial models and long‑term plans.
• Develop and maintain a Group‑wide capital management framework, including capex planning, allocation and liquidity management.
• Monitor rolling Group cash‑flow projections and support treasury operations such as bank facilities, cash pooling and FX exposure.
• Provide finance support for M&A activities and ensure strong financial governance and internal controls.
• Oversee consolidated financial reporting, ensuring compliance with SFRS/IFRS and regulatory requirements.
• Lead external audit processes and maintain relationships with auditors.
• Develop and standardise financial policies, reporting frameworks and procedures across the portfolio.
• Drive tax optimisation, including structuring, transfer pricing and compliance, and manage relationships with tax authorities.

Required profile

• Proven experience in financial controlling within a multi‑entity, investment‑holding environment.
• Strong technical accounting foundation and familiarity with SFRS/IFRS.
• Commercially astute with the ability to partner with senior leadership on strategic decisions.
• Demonstrated ability to manage capital, cash‑flow and treasury functions.
