Financial Services Assurance – Digital Innovation Garage Internship

About the role

Join PwC’s Financial Services Assurance Digital Innovation Garage (DIG) team as an intern, supporting the development of data‑driven, automated audit solutions for the financial services sector.

Key responsibilities

• Support senior team members in gathering business and data requirements, performing data analysis and testing for data strategy and solution implementation projects.
• Assist in technology and data solution assessments, providing recommendations.
• Develop digital solutions using programming languages such as Python, R, Java or C# and advanced Excel (VBA a plus).
• Utilise automation tools like ABBYY and UiPath to build data‑cleansing routines and support audit innovation.
• Help audit teams extract and analyse data from complex IT systems, delivering high‑quality insights.

Required profile

• Strong academic background in Computer Science, Information Systems or Software Development.
• Interest in programming and data analytics applied to financial services audits.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a global, technology‑focused environment.

Required skills

• Proficiency in at least one programming language (Python, R, Java, C#).
• Intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Excel; VBA experience is a strong plus.
• Familiarity with automation tools such as ABBYY or UiPath.
